Lynchburg, VA - A fundraiser was held Sunday in Lynchburg for a four-year-old girl battling Crohn's Disease and Pneumonia.
Jessi Owen was diagnosed with the disease several months ago.
Peaks View Animal Hospital, where Jessi's mother works, held a yard sale, bake sale, and car wash to raise money to help pay medical bills.
About half way through the event, the group had already raised more than $1,000.
Employees of the animal hospital say they are thankful for the community's support.
"It's been amazing, it's just amazing what people will do to help people, and if you just share your story and people just pull together to help out and send prayers and love and it's awesome," said Brooke Lichford, who organized the fundraiser.
There is also an online auction to raise money for Jessi. To help out, click here.
