Lynchburg, VA - The Lynchburg College community will hold a vigil Monday at 10 p.m. for sophomore Nick Johnson, the L.C. student found dead this weekend in his dorm room.
The 18-year-old was found Sunday unresponsive in his dorm room by his friends. Johnson is from New Jersey, and was a sophomore. EMS crews performed CPR, but it was too late.
As for the investigation, Lynchburg Police are waiting for an autopsy. But, at this point, police say the death doesn't appear to be suspicious. They say it looks like it's related to a chronic illness.
Lynchburg, VA- Authorities say an autopsy will be done this week on a Lynchburg College student who was found dead in his dorm room Sunday.
The president of the school says classmates found sophomore Nick Johnson of New Jersey unresponsive when they went to check on him at around 8:30 p.m..
In an email to students and faculty, Dr. Kenneth Garren says Johnson had not been feeling well the past week.
EMS crews performed CPR..but say it was too late.
Police say foul play doesn't appear to be involved.
The school is offering counseling to students who want to talk about what happened.
