LU's Kelly Ends Career with 80-Catch Season

Lexington - One of the LU seniors to end their careers with a win Saturday at VMI was receiver Pat Kelly.

The former L.C.A. star had six catches against the Keydets, giving him 80 for the season, just one shy of tying Pat Nelson for Liberty's all-time season record. Kelly said playing his final game for the Flames was emotional.
Pat Kelly, who had 162 catches in his LU career, sixth all-time in the Big South, said "It'll probably set in in just a little bit. Sitting in the locker room or walking the field one last time. But it's good to go out on this note and to have had a good career."
