Lynchburg - Eight was MORE THAN enough for the Liberty men's basketball team.

The Flames ended their 8-game losing skid to start the season Tuesday night, beating the Knights of Southern Virginia 76-51. Sophomore Andrew Smith knocks down the jumper, two of his career-high 10 points. With the win, Liberty moves to 1-and-8 on the year, while the Knights have a four-game win streak snapped, they fall to 4-and-2.

John Caleb Sanders paced the Flames with 14 points, Tomasz Gielo also scored double figures for Liberty with 10. Three Flames chipped in with eight points, Casey Roberts, Tavares Speaks and Chad Donley. Isaac Jacobsen dropped in a game-high 16 points for the Knights, followed by Payton Brooks who added 11.
Exams are next for the Flames, who take an 11-day break from game action before taking on Howard in Washington, D.C. on December 15.
