LPD Investigating Hit-and-Run That Knocked Down Power Pole
Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg police are investigating a hit and run accident on 460 Friday afternoon. Police say a truck was about to make a left turn when the driver changed his mind and pulled back into the westbound lane. The truck sideswiped another car, police say, sending that car into a power pole. That's when police say the driver of the truck left the scene. The driver of the car was not hurt. Appalachian Power expects the power pole to be replaced within the week.
