Lynchburg, VA - The Live Healthy Lynchburg 100 Mile Challenge kicked off Tuesday. Last year more than 1,800 people across the city participated, logging every step they took for almost three months. The challenge aims to get people moving and living a more active lifestyle. It concludes on the weekend of the Virginia 10 Miler. The challenge began first at Genworth, the sponsor for the 10 Miler. The company challenged their employees to get moving and in its first year, more than 1,000 people participated. "People have accepted the challenge, want to do 100 miles in 13 weeks, see if they can do it and some even do 500 miles or even 1000 miles" said RB Carter, Genworth's Director of Communications. If you're up for the challenge, you can sign up here.
