An Arctic cold front pushes through the state today. The front brings scattered light rain showers this morning. As colder air filters into the region, light rain showers turn to snow showers this afternoon. Light snow showers and flurries are possible into early this evening. Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are likely in the mountains. A dusting is possible in spots across Central and Southside. It's breezy, with temperatures falling from the 40s into the 30s.
Overnight is mostly clear, blustery and much colder. Lows in the low to mid 20s. Wednesday is mostly sunny, but gusty and cold. Highs only in the lower 40s. Tomorrow night will be the coldest night, as temperatures fall into the 10s to near 20. Thursday and Friday become a bit milder. Highs return back into the 50s. Right now this weekend looks partly to mostly cloudy and mild. Highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Scattered rain showers are possible Sunday into the early part of next week.
