L.U.'s Library Features Robotic Book Retrieval System

Lynchburg, VA - New technology for Liberty University's new library will help it become more efficient for students. The new library will feature a robotic book retrieval system.

The system will use three cranes to store and retrieve up to 4,000 bins of books and artifacts. Library officials say this will make retrieval easier and shorten the wait time.

Students will be able to get their materials in a matter of minutes, instead of days.

The robotic retrieval system will be in full use this fall when the new library opens.
