Lynchburg, VA - The Liberty University Trial team has made a national name for themselves. Over the weekend, they won the national arbitration competition in Chicago.
The competition put on by the American Bar Association, hosted ten teams from across the nation, all among the top trial teams in the country.
Liberty beat out Fordham University's team in the final round of the competition.
Their coach, a Liberty law professor says besides a beautiful trophy, the team also wins national recognition for their law school.
"My goal, our goal, is to get Liberty School of Law ranked by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top schools in the country for trial advocacy" said LU Law Professor and the team's coach, Pamela Bell.
The team, formed back in 2011, has another competition coming up this weekend in Williamsburg, Virginia.
