Lynchburg, VA - Liberty University has relaxed its weapons policy. Now, students and staff with concealed carry permits will be allowed to bring their firearms into all campus facilities except dorms.
In 2011, Liberty decided to allow guns on campus as long as they were not inside buildings.
Students and staff with permits could carry firearms outside or keep them in their vehicles.
Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. says this recent vote by the Board of Trustees will improve campus safety.
We'll have reaction to this change on ABC 13 News at 5 and 6.
