L.C.A. Boys Win First-Round State Tourney Game

Lynchburg - The L.C.A. boys got 14 points each from B.J. Farrow and Jordan Tillas and had four players hit for double figures as they routed Fork Union 70-50 in first-round state tournament action Tuesday night in Lynchburg.

The Bulldogs broke the game open early, running up a 41-18 lead at the half and never looking back. Josh Majors added 11 for L.C.A.,Zach Clinton 10. Fork Union's Christian Brown led all scorers with 20, but L.C.A. had five players score at least 9 points.
The Bulldogs advance to play number one seed Paul VI in Fairfax Wednesday evening at 5:45.
Also, the Westover girls edged Grace Christian 46-45 in the quarterfinals of the VACA state tournament. Westover's Leah Clayton posted a quadruple double, 27 points, 18 steals, 12 blocks and 11 rebounds.
