Lynchburg - Liberty Christian Academy held a spring season signing and college announcement day Wednesday morning for seven athletes. Baseball's Tre Allison signed with Catawba College in North Carolina. Softball's Madi Clarke will play for the Liberty Flames. Track and field's Greta Pileckaite is headed to Kennesaw State University in Georgia, triathlete Lacie Robinson commits to Marymount University. Also Maddie McMillan, Lyndsey Lingenfelter and Rachel Brooks have all made the LU Cheerleading squads for next season.Tre Allison, SIGNS WITH CATAWBA BASEBALL, said "I've always looked around for smaller schools with dominant programs. And they're a smaller school so I can focus more 1-to-1 with teachers and my studies along with being a part of a great, great baseball program."Greta Pileckaite, SIGNS WITH KENNESAW ST. TRACK, said "It's just a special day for school and us and I just want to glorify God for everything, what he's done in my life."Madi Clarke, SIGNS WITH LIBERTY U. SOFTBALL, said "I love that it's a great Christian atmosphere and also I love that my Dad played over there for Liberty baseball actually. So I wanted to follow in his footsteps."Lacie Robinson, SIGNS WITH MARYMOUNT U. TRACK, said "My Dad's been a cyclist, so one day I started cycling with him and then I was hey, why don't I try a triathlon out for fun. And I just really, really enjoyed it."
