From February Trial

Charlottesville, VA - A date has been set for George Huguely to learn his fate. Attorneys for the former UVA lacrosse player were in court Monday morning asking for more time to see trial transcripts.

The judge denied that request and scheduled a sentencing hearing for August 30.

Back in February, a jury recommended Huguely spend 25 years for murdering his former girlfriend and women's lacrosse player, Yeardley Love. They also recommended he serve an additional year for grand larceny.

The judge cannot exceed the jury's recommended sentence.
