Lynchburg, VA - Former Presidential candidate John McCain was in Lynchburg Saturday to campaign for presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
The Arizona Senator spoke at the Republican Victory Center along with South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham and former Secretary of Labor Elaine Chou. Cindy McCain and Candidate for the 5th Congressional District Robert Hurt were also at the rally.
The leaders stressed how important Virginia is in this election.
McCain says he's met a lot of committed veterans in our area that no longer trust Obama as a commander in chief.
"We're seeing a very intense response to the tragedy and debacle in Libya from our veterans especially, as well as our active duty people," he said.
McCain says the main issue continues to be jobs and the economy.
The senators had a rally in Virginia Beach and Charlottesville earlier Saturday. Their last stop was in Roanoke.
