Lynchburg, VA - Jersey Mike's is having a five day fundraiser as part of its newest store opening in Lynchburg. The new location on Old Forest Road is raising money for Wheels on the James.
Wheels on the James provides specialty bicycles for children and adults with physical challenges. These bikes can cost up to $1,500.
They are trying to raise money for bikes for everyone on their waiting list which amounts to about $6,000 worth.
The store gave out 10,000 coupons for a free sub with a minimum $1 donation. So far it has been a hit, with donations of all sizes.
"The first person in here yesterday put a hundred dollars in. And any time we've done any kind of fundraising anything, Lynchburg really gets behind us and really supports what we do. And it's amazing to me every time we do it," said store owner, Scott Buckner.
Even if you don't have a coupon and can't get a free sub you are still encouraged to go see the new location and make a donation.
