Investigator Writes Open Letter to Morgan Harrington's Killer
Charlottesville, VA - The former lead investigator into Morgan Harrington's murder has released an open letter to her killer.
Retired Virginia State Police Lieutenant Joe Rader is appealing to the persons involved in Harrington's 2009 abduction and murder. Harrington was 20 when she was killed.
In it, he says to the killer, "So there is no confusion for you, I will be very blunt - YOU are not the same person you were in October 2009 because you hold the truth of what happened to Morgan, and it has consumed your conscience every day."
He ends the letter saying, "do the right thing."
Harrington's remains were found in January 2010 on an Albemarle County farm.
