Lynchburg, VA - A parking garage transformed into a festival on Saturday in Lynchburg. The Hill City's first "Garage Fest" featured everything from food to live entertainment.
It all took place in the parking garage behind SunTrust Bank off Main Street. Some local business owners organized the free event for the community.
They hope the "Garage Fest" will motivate people to come downtown more often.
"There's so many awesome businesses, so many amazing artists in the downtown area that don't get a lot of attention. So we want to let people know that this is the art district finally, and we want to do cool stuff down here," said event organizer Tabitha Abbott.
Organizers of the "Garage Fest" also raised about $500 for Interfaith Outreach in Lynchburg.
