Hokies End Skid By Beating Miami
BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) -- C.J. Barksdale scored 12 points and Devin Wilson got all 12 of his in the final 3:37 as Virginia Tech ended a 10-game losing streak with a 52-45 victory against Miami, the Hokies' second this season.

Wilson, who also had nine assists, also came up with a huge rebound for the Hokies (9-15, 2-10 Atlantic Coast Conference), who hadn't won since beating Maryland-Eastern Shore on New Year's Eve. It came with about 30 seconds left and the Hokies ahead 50-45 off a missed 3-point try by Miami's Rion Brown. Miami (12-13, 3-9) got 13 points from Garrius Adams and Brown added 12 and 10 rebounds, but the Hurricanes made just 15 of 58 shots from the field (25.9 percent) and missed eight of their first 10 free throws before finishing 8-for-17 at the line.

The Hokies playedwithout Cadarian Raines, who missed the game due to illness. C.J. Barksdalereturned to the Tech line-up for the first time since the game at Virginia onJan. 25.
Trevor Thompsongrabbed a career-high-tying 12 rebounds in the game. He also had 12 rebounds inthe Wake Forest game on Jan. 22.
Miami's 15 first halfpoints are the fewest allowed by the Hokies in a half this season. The previouslow was 17 points in the first half by Furman. The previous low this season inACC play was 21 points in the second half by Pittsburgh on Feb. 8.
C.J. Barksdale scored12 points in his return to action. The last time Barksdale scored at least 12points in a game was his 12 points at Notre Dame on Jan. 19.
Devin Wilson had 12points and nine assists. That sets a new high in assists for him against ACCcompetition.
Tech's eightturnovers in the game is tied for the second-fewest turnovers for the team inan ACC game this season and marks the fifth time this season against ACCcompetition that Tech has committed fewer than 10 turnovers in a game.
