Hillcats Complete 4-Game Sweep of Myrtle Beach

Lynchburg - The first-place Hillcats completed a four-game sweep of Myrtle Beach Thursday night, beating the Pelicans 4-1 and taking over the Carolina League's best record.

Robby Hefflinger belted his fourth homer in the last three games, he's up to 15 for the season. Jarrett Miller allowed just one run in seven innings and struck out 6. Matt Weaver and Elmer Reyes added rbi doubles. Lynchburg now hits the road for the next week, opening Friday with three at Potomac, then moving on for four games at Frederick.

Potomac beat Salem 7-3 Thursday night.
