Hill City History On Display For School Age Children
Lynchburg, VA - Kids in Lynchburg Friday got the chance to get in little last minute learning before the start of their weekend.
Organizers at the Lynchburg Museum hosted their annual "Kids' Night at the Museum."
Some of the events included a flashlight tour around Monument Terrace and a scavenger hunt, each game and lesson with an emphasis on Hill City history.
Organizers say Friday's event is more than just your average history lesson.
"It gets kids interested in history who may not have been to the museum before, and we'll get them here having fun and enjoying themselves learning about Lynchburg's history" said Whitney Roberts, a Lynchburg Museum Educator.
Next month the Lynchburg Museum will be holding a similar event for younger kids, a story time and easier lessons geared toward pre-school aged children.
