High Schoolers Get College Experience

Lynchburg, VA - It's never too early to start thinking about college, and some Lynchburg high school students got the chance to see what area schools have to offer.

10th graders from EC Glass and Heritage took part in Project Launchburg Monday.

They visited two of the six Lynchburg-area schools, and one group was at Sweet Briar.

"A lot of them have never been to a college campus before, so it gives them a chance to see what college is about, actually be on a college campus she what kind of educational services these colleges have as well as learn about some of the college requirements," said Jason Jamerson, director of Guidance Heritage High School.

The other colleges participating include CVCC, Liberty, Randolph, Lynchburg College and VUL.
