Lynchburg, VA - EC Glass High School now has a centralized place for students to take the next step in going to college.
Monday morning, officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the school's Future Center. This is an initiative of the Lynchburg Beacon of Hope.
At the Future Center, students can get information on college and technical schools. There will also be staff on hand to help motivate students.
There's also a Future Center at Heritage High School.
Statistics show only 57 % of Lynchburg's public high school seniors went onto to two-year or four-year colleges in 2011.
