High School Coat Drive Helps Forest Non-Profit

Forest, VA - More than 250 coats are headed overseas to people who need them, thanks to a group of Campbell County high school students.

Friday morning, they dropped off the coats to the World Help location in Forest. Twelve students from William Campbell High School headed up this coat drive that started up right after Thanksgiving. If a student brought a coat to a basketball game, they would get in for free.

World Help is very impressed that these teens took the time to help others in this way.

"This high school just had the opportunity and they seized the moment in a sense and decided that they were going to step up and do something that out lived them and last for eternity," said Josh Brewer of World Help.

World Help says the coats will be sent to Peru.
