Halifax Co., VA-- The Halifax County School Board is making moves to create a safer environment for students at Halifax County High School.
They called a special meeting Wednesday night at the school to address their recent mold problems.
The chair of the Halifax County School Board says more than 100 people attended the meeting.
An environmental engineer answered questions that the crowd had. He said the main problem is that the school's humidity level is too high, which is causing mold spores to reproduce.
School officials said they are working with consultants to get the humidity regulated in the school.
