Heritage Ends Season With Blowout Loss

LYNCHBURG - A dream season ended with a nightmare. Heritage lost 52-0 to the now three-time defending state champion Briar Woods.

It was a slow demise for the Pioneers. Briar Woods scored nine points in the first quarter, 15 in the second, 14 in the third, and 14 in the fourth quarter.

Football Friday Player of the Year finalist JeVontae Parrish struggled against one of the best defenses in the state of Virginia. Parrish completed just one of his 15 passes for a total of five yards. He also ran 14 times for 37 yards.

Overall Briar Woods outgained Heritage 452 to 101 in total yards.
