Heritage Academy Finds New Home at White Oak Grove Outreach Center

Chatham, VA - Students at Heritage Academy in Chatham will walk down new school halls next year.

The Christian school will make its new home at the White Oak Grove Outreach Center in Dry Fork.

The school has been operating out of the former Climax Elementary School for three years and say they've just outgrown the space.
They have 36 students, and by law, can only house 40 students in its current building. They said the new building will allow them to enroll more than triple the students they already have.
"It's got classrooms, it's got a computer lab, it's got a full gym, it's got a kitchen, so it's move in ready. That was one of the advantages going there," said Bob Harris, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Heritage Academy.
The White Oak Grove Outreach Center currently houses an alternative school. That school is moving out, and Heritage Academy will move in by July.
