Henry Co., VA -- Henry County high schoolers may soon have an opportunity to get firefighting and EMT training their junior and senior years.
If the board approves the program, they will partner with Patrick Henry Community College. The program, which is called 'Firefighting/EMT Academy' will allow students to be ready for the EMT Basic state exam and get CPR certification. Students would be required to complete both years of the program.
The board votes on it December 12th.
