Henry County Deputy Cleared of Wrongdoing After Hitting Pedestrian
Henry Co., VA - The Henry County Sheriff's Deputy that struck and killed a pedestrian last year has been cleared of all wrongdoing.Investigators say Oliver Rumley was pronounced dead in November after he was hit by Deputy Justin Stone. According to Roanoke's Commonwealth's Attorney Donald Caldwell, Rumley's blood alcohol level was at 0.38. Caldwell says he just stepped in front of the deputy's car. Stone has since returned to working at the Sheriff's Office.
