LYNCHBURG - A loss can sometimes just be a loss but losing in the state championships after four scoreless overtimes and 13 rounds of penalty kicks is just plain body-wrenching, let alone gut-wrenching. That's the reality for the Jefferson Forest girls soccer team. The Cavaliers valiantly battled back after trailing 2-0 and again at 3-1.Katie Cousins scored JF's first two goals and Dana Bryant's equalizer in the second half forced overtime.JF finishes the season 23-3.
