Gubernatorial Candidate McAuliffe Visits Lynchburg's CVCC

Lynchburg, VA - Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe visited Central Virginia Community College Monday morning.

Officials at the college explained the college's workforce training programs and gave McAuliffe a tour of the Areva building.

McAuliffe talked to the crowd about the importance of community colleges in building a strong workforce.

"We have to grow and diversify the economy. We have to bring in new businesses from around the world. Be leaders in cyber security, small module reactors, all the things we need to do to diversify this economy. That will be done at the Community College level," McAuliffe said.

Gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli is also in our area today. He will lead a roundtable discussion at County Line Collision Repair in Lexington at 3:15 p.m.
