Group to File Lawsuit Against Flag Ban in Lexington
Lexington, VA - Sons of Confederate Veterans say they are just days away from filing a lawsuit claiming Lexington's flag ban is unconstitutional.
Camp Commander Brandon Dorsey says his attorneys have drafted a brief.
He plans on holding a press conference at Roanoke's Federal Courthouse next week once the lawsuit is filed.
In September, Lexington's city council banned flags from flying on city property except the US, Virginia and Lexington flags.
Southern Heritage Groups have called the law discriminatory, claiming it passed only after they wanted to display Confederate Flags.
