Halifax Co., VA-- 27 college students are biking all across the country for a great cause, and they made a pit-stop in South Boston on Wednesday.
The group, 4K for Cancer is on a 70-day, 4,000 mile journey from Maryland to California. They're raising money for the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. They started on Sunday and just recently made their 100 mile mark.
They say although the cycling across the country is a tough feat, they have some mantras that keep them going.
"In thinking about the cancer survivors and patients, they don't stop, we don't stop. They don't stop fighting, they don't stop having cancer, so we don't stop biking," said Aaron Litz, 4K for Cancer Cyclist.
4k for Cancer has four other teams cycling across the country. So far, together they've raised $650,000.
