Grand Jury Will see Evidence In Accidental Shooting
Rocky Mount, VA - The Franklin County Sheriff says he expects evidence to be submitted to a grand jury that could lead to charges following the accidental shooting death of a seven year old boy last month. Sheriff Quint Overton said there are clear laws dealing with the proper storage of weapons that are being looked at. The investigation shows the 12 year old brother of the victim found the weapon at a neighbor's house -- before it fired, hitting the boy. Overton says he has conferred with the Commonwealth's Attorney and the families involved regarding the potential charges.
