Richmond, VA - Governor McDonnell announced an increase of employment in the Virginia film industry Thursday. The 15.7 % increase is a result of the state's film incentive program.
It was enhanced in 2010 to attract film and television productions to the commonwealth. Film's like Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln."
Virginia's program combines a film tax credit with the Governor's Motion Picture Opportunity Fund. That has created jobs, added revenue, and delivered international advertising for Virginia.
