Governor McAuliffe Talks Fourth Circuit Decision
Danville, VA -- Governor Terry McAuliffe told us Tuesday that he agrees with the Fourth Circuit's decision Monday, striking down the ban on same-sex marriage.
McAuliffe was in Danville talking with local leaders about the economy. He says that in order for us to have new jobs and a growing economy, we need to welcome everyone. McAuliffe told us about the moment he heard about the decision.
"I was overjoyed. I have continuously said as Governor, Virginia needs to be open and welcoming to everyone," says McAuliffe.
McAuliffe says he wants to focus on everyone having a good quality of life and be able to provide for their family.
