Lynchburg, VA - Have you ever wondered how Google Maps gets their "Street View" shots?This is a shot of the Google Maps car on Langhorne Road in Lynchburg. The camera on top is called the "Trekker". It has 15 different lenses, which allows it to capture images in a 360 panoramic view. Google started capturing Street View pictures in 2007. On average, the pictures captured about 6 months before they are updated online.
