Executive Director Karen Harris says they have been seeing about a 9% increase from last summer in people needing food. And donations are down.
Harris says they usually have decreased donations in the summer, but with the added need, they are struggling. Harris is hoping people donate everything from canned food to rice to breakfast cereals.
"It's pretty serious, I know you can see these pallets but they are only half full. And we could go through those in a matter of a few days just with the volumes we are seeing," says Harris.
You can bring in your donations to God's Storehouse or donate online.
