God's Pit Crew to Build Two Houses in Moore, Oklahoma
Danville,VA - God's Pit Crew is asking for the community's help to continue their disaster relief efforts in Moore, Oklahoma.
Their team got back about three weeks ago after helping those affected by the tornado. Now, they are looking to go back next month to build two houses. They've already chosen one family, and are in the process of choosing the other one.
They say they need to raise $200,000 for the project.
"There are 12,000 homes that were affected and 1,200 completely destroyed," said Randy Johnson, Executive Director of God's Pit Crew. "The thing about that is behind every one of those homes that were affected, there's a family, there's children, there's an elderly couple."
Four organizations have agreed to donate a total of $100,000 to the project, if God's Pit crew can raise the other $100,000.
