Danville, VA - God's Pit Crew is describing the Oklahoma tornado as one of the worst disasters they've ever been to.
Executive Director Randy Johnson has been with their team of volunteers in Oklahoma since last Thursday.
They distributed supplies to the victims and spent time just outside of Moore helping victims with removing trees and patching roofs.
God's Pit Crew has also helped fix up a local park. They say the locals wanted a place where they could escape some of the destruction.
Johnson says even through all of this devastation, the victims are still very hopeful.
"Been some of the greatest people that we've had the privilege of meeting. They are very resilient people. See so many signs of hope spray painted on the houses, on the tarps, all through the neighborhoods, 'we will rebuild," he said.
They suspect they will be there through next week. Johnson says the best way to help them is to donate money.
