Lynchburg, VA - Gleaning for the World has been collecting supplies for the Oklahoma tornado victims for several days now.
This weekend, they set up outside the Wal-Mart on Wards Road in Lynchburg.
So far, Gleaning for the World has shipped about half a million pounds of supplies to Moore. They've shipped 15 tractor trailer loads, and they hope to send five more this week.
Leaders say they still need baby products and cleaning supplies. You can get a list of needed supplies here.
Rev. Ron Davidson , the director of Gleaning for the World, says several area churches and organizations have been donating to the organization.
"Thank God for Central Virginia. They've always shown up, they've always provided a helping hand ,and without the people in Central Virginia, Gleaning for the World would just not make it," he said.
Gleaning for the World will be accepting donations at the Wal-Mart on Wards Road all night Sunday.
They will be other collection sites this week.
