Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg girl scouts had a crafty way to earn a community service patch Saturday.

Almost 200 scouts packed First Presbyterian Church on VES Road to do crafts. They made holiday gifts like pinecone Christmas trees, holiday cards for the elderly, even took a little time to make cookies for themselves.

The girls also decorated birthday boxes for meals on wheels. Leaders say that was the girls' favorite part.

"They love making the birthday boxes for meals on wheels. They love to go shopping and fill them with all the different articles for the people." said Marion Stump, Girl Scout leader.

Frito-Lay tossed in 200 bags of potato chips to fill those boxes
