Danville, VA - Former Governor and Senate candidate George Allen was in Danville Tuesday. He hosted a small business roundtable where he introduced many of the policies and ideas he hopes to take to the Senate.
Allen calls it, his "Blueprint for America's Comeback."
He spoke about the economy, federal regulations and the rising cost of energy.
The former governor was not shy about his opinion of President Obama, taking aim at his tax policy.
"Our federal government imposes the highest tax in the world on job creating businesses at 35%. That doesn't help a small, medium or large size business be able to compete internationally. And I think we ought to reduce that to better than average to 20%," he said.
Allen also spent the majority of his day at local businesses in Danville and South Boston talking to workers.
