Appomattox, VA - An Appomattox organization is making an effort to keep its community healthy.
The Good Neighbor Information & Help Center is throwing its first ever Community Health Fair Saturday, September 15.
There will be 27 booths set up featuring wellness information for every age from children to seniors. That includes free vision screenings for preschoolers and free blood pressure checks for adults, and much more.
"We just want to be here to engage them and help in any way we possibly can. That's our only goal is to provide services to our community and show that we want to build relationships in our community," said Janice Marston, with the Good Neighbor Information & Help Center.
Centrahealth will also be on hand to talk about heart health and how to recognize a stroke.
The fair will be held at Grace Hills Baptist Church Family Life Center in Appomattox.
It starts at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
