Lynchburg, VA - Franklin Graham, the son of televangelist Billy Graham, spoke to Liberty University students Monday morning.
Hundreds attended the convocation at the school's Vines Center.
Graham, who's often outspoken on moral issues like gay marriage, talked about his Christian relief organization called Samaritan's Purse.
Last year, he said the organization sent 400 doctors to mission hospitals across the globe.
Many of the students were excited since they grew up watching Billy Graham's sermons on TV.
"It's actually very uplifting, knowing that his son followed in his footsteps and is trying to carry on that legacy," said Liberty Freshman William Nott.
While introducing him to the crowd, Jerry Falwell, Jr. said last time Graham was at Liberty University was to speak at his father's funeral back in 2007
