Franklin County Buys Building That Houses Cash Strapped YMCA

Rocky Mount, VA - Franklin County's Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to buy two properties in Rocky Mount that includes the property that houses the Franklin County YMCA.

The YMCA originally turned the building over to the bank due to financial problems in December 2011.

The County intends to lease the building to the YMCA, for nearly $86,000 a year, until the non-profit can arrange to purchase the building outright.
