Fort Defiance Storms Back to Beat Brookville Volleyball 3-2

Campbell County - Fort Defiance rallied from two games down to beat Brookville 3-2 in region quarterfinal volleyball action Monday night at Brookville.

The Bees led 14-12 in the final game, one point from victory but the Indians fought back to stay alive. Brookville led again at 16-15, again needing one point to win the match. But Fort Defiance scored the next three points to win game five and the match as the Indians handed the Bees their first loss and ended Brookville's great season at 20-and-1.

Brookville senior Jordan Pfau had a huge night, 38 kills and 15 digs before going down with an ankle injury after a kill that gave the Bees that 16-15 lead in the final game.

Seminole District and Conference 30 Player of the Year Leah Porter had 48 assists for the Bees, Morgan Bruce 32 digs as she topped 1,000 digs for her Brookville career.

Meghan Good helped spearhead the Indians' huge comeback with some powerful kills as the Conference 29 runner-up advances to the region semifinals.
