Former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell's Trial Begins
Richmond, VA - The corruption trial of former governor Bob McDonnell has begun and is expected to last five weeks.
McDonnell and his wife, Maureen, are accused of numerous felony charges, including wire fraud and abuse of office.
Prosecutors say the McDonnells accepted lavish gifts and loans from former Star Scientific CEO, Jonnie Williams, in exchange for political favors.
Bob McDonnell and his wife have both pleaded not guilty.
