Former Virginia FFA Treasurer Charged with Embezzlement

Montgomery Co, VA - A former treasurer for the Virginia Future Farmers of America (FFA) Foundation is facing nine charges of embezzlement.

According to the Montgomery County Commonwealth's Attorney, Eugene Mills, 41, embezzled about $700,000 from the organization.

Mills served as the foundation's treasurer until June of 2012. His lawyer says he can't comment on the case.

The Virginia FFA Foundation says it doesn't expect this incident to affect any of its activities or award programs.
