Former Sheriff Stanley Noblin in Custody After He Turns Himself In
Halifax Co., VA - Former Sheriff Stanley Noblin has turned himself in on 21 felony indictments.
Noblin turned himself over to police around 6 p.m. Thursday at the Halifax County Magistrate's office.
Noblin is at the Halifax County Jail in the process of surrendering himself on 14 counts of forgery and 7 counts of embezzlement. Those indictments were handed down on Monday.
There is no word on whether or not Noblin will be released on bond at this time.
The former sheriff is accused of forging public documents and embezzling property between 2008 and 2011.
