Former Martinsville Police Officer Going to Court for Shooting

Martinsville, VA - A former Martinsville police officer will face a grand jury for allegedly shooting his wife.

Back in April, the Martinsville Police Department charged James Scott Witherow II with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Police could not confirm how long he worked at the department, but they say he's retired.
He will be in court in August.
